Who’s Afraid of Relativism?

I strongly disagree with laissez-faire, “anything goes” versions of relativism, and in public discourse this is what people usually mean when they use the term. However, in more philosophical discussions, I think that some version of relativism is almost certainly true. Here I explain why in an article for Dialogue (Issue 28, April 2007), a philosophy and religion journal for sixth formers. Unfortunately, it is not available online.
